ISG - Informationszentrum für Sexualität und Gesundheit e.V. (GERMANY)
ISG Germany, member of ESDA
Since the groundwork was done for the launch of the German centre back in 1998, the public image of the ISG had remained the same, medically comprehensive and well respected. The corporate image was very appropriate back then but inevitably with the passing of time had become somewhat old-fashioned. With this in mind the Executive Committee and the Chair Prof. Ulrich Wetterauer, Urologist at the University of Freiburg, decided to adapt the corporate design to a new identity: "We are convinced of the fact that sexuality is substantial for the health of human beings and a healthy life-style contributes to fulfilled sexuality. Therefore we support people in their wish to improve their quality of life by handling their sexuality in a natural manner. We wish to help individuals and change the view of the public."
Now the Re-launch of the ISG corporate design is complete. New colours, slogan and new logo have brought the whole appearance that much closer to the heart. Nevertheless the good things have not changed; the ISG continues to offer the same medically comprehensive information in its many patient friendly materials. Take a look at their new website www.isg-info.de, where you will find all new leaflets, flyers and posters.
Likewise the ISG member Newsletter has been given a face-lift with a new title "Love keeps you healthy”. It includes many interesting articles and news stories related to the topics love and sexuality.
In October 2005 a new campaign in collaboration with Pfizer was launched: "Let love speak. ISG looks for Germany’s most beautiful declaration of love”. From the 1st October 2005 until 28th February 2006 Internet users can go into www.isg-info.de compose their personal love greeting with special design and send it as an electronic greeting (e-Card) or as short film (e-Movie) to their dearest one. At the same time this greeting can be submitted to the ISG competition. The authors of the three most beautiful love messages will receive some re-kindling prices such as a love-weekend in a romantic hotel or a candlelit dinner.
The search for the most beautiful declaration of love is not only a romantic quest but also a medical one: according to statistical estimates up to six million men in Germany suffer from Erectile Dysfunction - however only three or four out of ten such men are ready to speak about it. Breaking their silence however can bring them closer to seeking therapy and saving their partnership. The competition and the campaign "let love speak" is for these men and their partner to find the courage inside, to break their silence and to get professional advice, because silent suffering can help keep sexual problems alive. An individually composed love message could be the first step to a healthy sexuality and a new self-assurance leading to a satisfying partnership.
