SPA - SOCIEDADE PORTUGUESA DE ANDROLOGIA (PORTUGAL)

The Portuguese Society of Andrology (SPA) was created on 1st March 1979 by 29 physicians from various specialities. Actually SPA has more than 320 members from Urology, Gynaecology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Sexology, Vascular Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Genetics and Pathological Anatomy. Since its creation, its main objective has been to spread information about male sexual dysfunction, although it has recently gained interest in female sexuality. The SPA organises every two years a National Congress and periodically associates with Spanish Association of Andrology (ASESA) to organise a Luso-Spanish Reunion. SPA´s official organ is "Revista Internacional de Andrologia, Salud Sexual e Reproductiva", published in association with ASESA and some other South-American scientific societies. SPA also publishes "Andrologia e Saúde Sexual", a non periodic scientific journal.
