ASESA - ASOCIACION ESPANOLA DE ANDROLOGIA (SPAIN)

The Asociación Española de Andrología (Spanish Andrological Association) was founded in 1980 with a main focus on the research and management of male infertility. This scope widened since because of the increasing knowledge on the basics of erection and the feasibility of a broader and effective approach to male sexual dysfunction, especially erectile dysfunction.

The society embraced this new field and many of its members became involved in the research and management of this condition. Nowadays and once again based on the growing body of scientific knowledge on the human sexual response, not only male erectile dysfunction but the broader field of both male and female sexual dysfunction constitutes the field of interest of one of the branches of the society, the other one being human reproduction.

Accordingly, our society is a multidisciplinary one, composed by General Practitioners, Urologists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Biologists, Endocrinologists, Lab specialists, etc, reaching a total of more than 500 members. Our goal is to foster the understanding and management of human sexual health and reproduction.
