SIA - SOCIETÀ ITALIANA DI ANDROLOGIA (ITALY)

The Italian Society of Andrology was constituted in Pisa on the 14th of February 1976. Its activity takes into account the technical-specialistic content of andrology as a subject studying, preventing and treating organic and functional dysfunction of male genital apparatus and couple sexuality.

Number of Members in 1976: 234
Number of Members in 2010:  almost 1000

The aim of the Italian Society of Andrology is to promote and foster studies and technical-scientific research in Andrology, even under a socio-anthropological point of view, allowing the development and the correct fulfilment of the professional activity in the field of Andrology.
The Official Journal of the Italian Society of Andrology is the JAS (Journal of Andrological Sciences.

S.I.A. also edits the on line newsletter Andronews S.I.A.

The Society is structured in 9 macro-regional Sections, in order to allow better relationships with local institutions and a stronger territorial participation of the Society itself.
